About Sandi Kenny

The Last Valentine Neil Thomas, Jr. publishes the story of his parents' romance and in return receives a second chance at love himself. Alternating between a World War II love story and a present day romance, Mr. Pratt reminds us all of the power of love and friendship.

In 1944, Neil Thomas and his new bride, Caroline, are enjoying wedded bliss and the anticipation of a new baby when he is called to pilot duty overseas on Valentine's Day. Fifty years pass before they are reunited once more on Valentine's Day.

Neil, Jr. has had his share of heartbreak as well. A recent widower, he is on the verge of selling his family home when he meets reporter Susan Allison who has come to him seeking the ultimate tale of true love. Though she is skeptical, she agrees to read his parents' story, and to film an interview with him for her television show. Then the two embark on a journey of friendship and ultimately must decide if they are willing to write their own love story.

This story reminded me of the power of real love and the importance of faith. This isn't just a love story, but a human story. It explores love, friendship, God and the real meaning of happiness. While the alternating plots can be at times confusing, it is well worth the read.
