About Jennifer Andrew
This novel is a little darker than her first novel, if you can believe it. It still holds the glamour of the first book but there is more of a storyline with the new generation vixens.
The wives of the husbands stand out more in this novel and the book concentrates on more of the characters. The wives control most of their own lives and try to do things more for themselves instead of living off of their rich husbands. Jackie Collins makes the women more independent and conscious of their own importance in the lives of their husbands and their careers.
Lissa Roman, is a movie and music superstar in her forties. She is beautiful, smart and runs her own successful career in show business and music. The last husband she marries, from a total of four husbands in her past, is a young golddigger who sleeps around on her and treats her like garbage.
Nicci Stone, Lissa's daughter, is a hotheaded teenager who is more interested in partying than she is on being serious about her future. Even though she is engaged to Evan, a hot filmmaker, she finds out that she may be attracted to his brother instead.
Taylor Singer, a wannabe actress and producer, is married to a very successful man who does not want her to star in inappropriate movies. Taylor, however, wants to do whatever she needs to do to get her name known in Hollywood. Cheating on her husband with a young, stoned screenwriter might do it!
These characters are among some of the comical and interesting people that entertain you in Hollywood Wives: The New Generation. It's a refreshing comeback from the original book and a good saga that depicts the lives of the rich, famous and spoiled.
I enjoyed this second tale as much as I enjoyed the first book. Most of the storyline centered on Lissa Roman and her daughter. All of these characters are intertwined with each other somehow and must come together to help Lissa with her deadly dilemma. Read this book to find out what happens to disrupt the life of the superstar.
