About Jennifer Andrew
I had my doubts about his book because it wasn't very thick but after I read it, I added it to my list of favorites! It was so enjoyable and fulfilling. It left me wanting more, which is no doubt why she wrote the trilogy. The second book is named Heaven and Earth and the third book is called Face the Fire.
Dance Upon the Air is about a woman who lived in the limelight with her famous husband but after several years of marriage, his true identity seeped through. He turned into an abusive man who was out to control every aspect of her life. She had to get out of the relationship and run as fast as she could without looking back.
Nell is a courageous woman like a lot of women who finally come up with the courage to take a hold of their life and get out of a seriously bad relationship that is hurting their very existence. She runs to a small town where she meets two of the most important women of her life, but she doesn't know it yet. She goes through a series of events that bring about her growth and make her realize just how strong a woman she is.
It is a heart warming romance novel that tells the tale of a lovely, smart and cunning woman who is able to make another life for herself without looking back. This book made me remember my own relationship and how I also had the courage to take a stand and end a relationship that was very negative to both me and my partner. Nora Roberts definitely makes the reader love and understand the character of Nell and what she went through to start anew.
Dance Upon the Air isn't a typical book about abuse against women. The author delves more into the life of the character getting her life back on track than it does with the actual abusive relationship. Just the fact that she is trying to get as far away from him as possible, tells you what kind of person she is running from. The book also goes into the depth of the kinds of relationships she finds when she starts her life all over again. The book is written with taste and a little sarcastic humor that makes it a definitely great read!
I loved this book and was eager to read the other two books in the trilogy.
