A review of Angel Fire East

by Terry Brooks

The third and final book of the dark fantasy trilogy talks of an ancient evil that could destroy everything that the Word has done. It will take the co-operation of both John Ross and Nest Freemark working together to save humanity.

About Jennifer Andrew

Angel Fire East In Angel Fire East, you find that Nest Freemark has developed into a beautiful woman. She went on to pursue a career as a runner and ends up graduating from college. Now at 29, Nest decides to go back home to Hopewell and spend the rest of her days in her motherâ?Ts old house visiting and spending time with old friends. Undecided as to what her future holds, Nest stays in Hopewell content to relax and take her time to make important decisions in her life.

When she opens her front door one day and sees the familiar tired face of John Ross, she knows that it isnâ?Tt a routine visit for pleasure.

A great evil has moved into the small town of Hopewell and it is looking for a gypsy morph, a rare and dangerous creature formed of wild magic. Both sides, the Void and the Word, want this creature because it will make an invaluable weapon. It all depends on which side gets to it first.

John Ross discovers the value of this gypsy morph and travels back to Hopewell to look for it. With the help of Nest Freemark and Johnâ?Ts dreams of the future, they must find it and protect it from being corrupted by evil.

When havoc starts happening in the little town and Nest starts losing people that she cares about, she starts to realize that it isnâ?Tt an onslaught of coincidences. They both realize that the evil menace is near and the Feeders are preparing for something big to happen.

Angel Fire East is very enjoyable and entertaining. Throughout the trilogy, you learn more and more about the characters of John and Nest and at this point, you experience the relationship that has developed between them. You end up really liking those characters and hope they are successful in saving the world.

I enjoy the work of Terry Brooks and I have to say that this trilogy is one of his best works of literature. I was very eager to take up the final book in this series and read more on Nest Freemark and John Ross, the Knight of the Word.
