About the book reviewer

Lynne Quido

There's nothing hidden about the way I feel about books. I'm the kind of reader that walks around with their finger marking their place in whatever book I'm reading. I'd like to say that I read to learn and to experience the great literature in life, but generally I delve into escapist fiction, particularly mystery, thriller and courtroom drama novels. You'll find me diverting from time to time into biography, inspirational self-help, comedy, some of the classics, and the odd trashy romance.

I've written book and movie reviews for various publications for the last year, picking up on an old hobby from my college days. I've also published restaurant reviews and I'm working on travel pieces that will hopefully be published some day. My children are nearly grown, and my dog is happy just watching me read and type reviews, as long as there's a comfortable spot for him nearby. I've left a busy corporate life and am enjoying and am thankful for my time to dabble in several small business endeavors. The days never seem long enough any more. I very seldom pick up a book anymore without choosing it by reading a review, and being intrigued by the reviewer's reactions. It's my hope that the reader of my reviews will be able to enjoy what I have loved about the books I've read, and want to explore some of my favorite authors and stories.
