A simple, but profound, story of love that transcends

About Helen Harvey
Telling someone you love him or her, whether it be
child or adult, is not easy at times. Telling someone
just how much you love him or her is even more
difficult. If your budget won't stretch to
extravagant love tokens to shower upon the one you
adore, you can do no better than to give a gift of
this delightful and moving children's book that is as
appropriate for a four year old as it is a 94 year
old.
Little Nutbrown Hare is playing a game with his father
in which they express the extent of their love for
each other. Just when Little Nutbrown Hare thinks he
has beaten his father in demonstrating the magnitude
of his love, Big Nutbrown Hare utters the final words
of the book, which are quite simply beautiful, and
which I will not recall here, because I do not want to
spoil the delightful surprise.
Although a children's book, I'm willing to bet that
the majority of these books have been bought by
adults, for adults. There is no sweeter expression of
love than this for your family, your best friend, or a
lover, and I will admit to having bought and given
this treasure more than once.
This captivating little tale, with stunningly simple
illustrations, comes in a variety of book formats big,
small, hardback, board cover, pop-up, and one complete
with soft toy hares, and there are also a variety of
spin-off products such as photo albums and stationery.
