About the book reviewer

William K. Wolfrum

William K. Wolfrum has been an avid reader throughout his entire life, from "Sam I Am" to the Hardy Boys mysteries to any kind of book in any genre, he is willing to give it a read.

A one-time commercial fisherman, Wolfrum has lived in Alaska, New York City and Southern California. The diversity of his homes coincides with the diversity of his reading. And while he occasionally tries to be a snobbish reader of "literature" he has long-ago accepted that he is one of the masses.

"If everyone else likes something, likely I will also," Wolfrum said during a commercial break for "Survivor." He believes Helen will shock everyone and win, by the way.

Wolfrum is married to a beautiful Brazilian woman, Emilia, and has three dogs, Max, Jack and Duchess.

Wolfrum is a freelance writer based in Southern California. His writing credits include the Boston Globe, New Jersey Star Ledger, Seattle Times, Anchorage Daily News, as well as several sports magazines, including Touchdown Illustrated and the Los Angeles Kings game program.

Wolfrum has won two Alaska Press Club Awards for column writing and honed his skills with nearly five years as a writer/copy editor for daily newspapers.
