"If one cannot enjoy reading a book over and over again, there is no use in reading it at all." Oscar Wilde

Dear Reader,

There is a beauty so pure and so real in reading that I have yet to find anything that surpasses its greatness. Reading allows us to step away from our lives for a moment and fall into our imaginations. We row lazily down the river with Amory Blaine, and discuss politics or literature, in Fitzgerald's "This Side of Paradise." We watch a young girl's journey of self-discovery in the middle of a war-torn world in "The Diary Of Anne Frank." Reading allows us to question, to think and, best of all, to feel.

Thanks for stopping by my bio page! I'm an avid reader. I've strolled through the streets of Dublin, finding my way around simply from the descriptions in James Joyce's novels and short stories, and I've retraced a few of the footsteps of Joyce and Oscar Wilde in London. My favorite authors are Joyce, Wilde, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Charlotte Bronte. While I was growing up, I read every World War II book on our library's shelves, and I'm always discovering a new piece of history that fascinates me.

I'm a freelance writer and have had some really cool gigs in the last year including rewriting a campaign letter for a Congressional candidate, rewriting telemarketing scripts for a talent agency and providing daily updates of three soap operas for a now-defunct soap ezine. I hold a BA in Journalism and Communications from Point Park College in Pittsburgh, PA---check them out at www.PPC.edu. I plan to start an MFA in Creative Writing in the next few years. My husband and I also just started a new business. I'm also active in rabbit rescue and hope to one day soon start a rabbit/bird/animal rescue that will be a haven for homeless, neglected and abused animals.

I live in Connecticut with my husband, Kevin, six bunnies and seven budgies.

Feel free to drop me a line with any comments, suggestions or questions at affirmation9_27@yahoo.com or savebunnies@yahoo.com.

Happy Reading,

Beth
