Jennifer Santiago is a marketing & events manager for an international
publishing and trade show company based in New York City. In this capacity, she
spends most of her time writing press releases, website copy, email newsletters,
brochures and direct mail pieces. She also manages special events and has
recruited keynote speakers including football-legend-turned-real-estate-mogul
Roger Staubach, Amazon.com CEO Jeff Bezos, Ross Perot Jr,. and Tommie Agee of
the '69 Mets.
Jennifer is also a freelance writer, doing columns for parentsrus.net and
babyzone.com. Her first book, a non-fiction guide to the history and culture of
New Orleans, is due out in fall 2003 from Windstorm Creative. When not writing,
Jennifer is an entrepreneur; she and her business partner have created a board
game that they hope to bring to market in 2003. Jennifer and her husband are
also in the process of starting their own children's clothing company.
Jennifer has been an avid reader her entire life, and was reading Stephen King
novels cover-to-cover in a weekend by the age of 9. Her favorite authors include
Isabelle Allende, Judy Blume, Alice Hoffman, Jane Austen, Nick Hornby, Dr. Seuss
and Jackie Collins. Her favorite book of all time is John Kennedy Toole's "A
Confederacy of Dunces."
Jennifer graduated from SUNY Albany in 1996 and has worked in publishing and
events planning ever since. She lives in upstate New York with her husband and
the world's best cats, Sasha and Lucy.
